" I love to find art in the ordinary - to see and capture excitement from what is otherwise familiar. Sometimes it's just the way the light falls on an object or the way a shadow is cast. Most often I am struck by the beauty of shapes. I particularly like the visual tension of organic natural forms against those that are man-made - leaves and grasses growing through an iron fence, a glass vase with flowers bursting forth from it. I paint things I enjoy in my life: nature, food, animals, people."
